Women owned and operated, Mixit Tallahassee LLC creates and hosts events where women can meet and mingle in a safe environment. We primarily focus on organizing women-only events outside of the typical gay club scene, but we do offer full service lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) event planning.
What is your mission and vision?
It is the mission of Mixit Tallahassee to empower women who love women by providing a forum for expression where we are free to celebrate our contributions. We do this by creating a number of highly visible social events and activities designed to form friendship, create dialogue, and encourage personal empowerment. We exist to promote inclusion among LGBTQ people and beyond. Our vision is a society where women who love women embrace differences among us and by doing so, we thrive in a world where everyone recognizes, respects, and protects our contributions. We are much more than a collection of events; we are a symbol of expression!
Why focus on women in the LGBTQ movement?
There is a tendency among the LGBTQ community to treat everyone’s issues the same, with little attention to the impact that culture, gender and other aspects of identity have on being a member of the LGBTQ movement. Among women, dimensions of difference exist in our experiences and perspectives. A women-only space is not simply a room filled with women; it's an ideological and unbound space, where hierarchy in all its manifestation is challenged. We create this space to celebrate ourselves and to channel our energies. It is a place where we are free to be who we are; a place of self-discovery.
What makes your events unique?
We create events to address and serve the specific and diverse needs of women of all ages, races, and walks of life. Single women and lesbian couples who have a zest for life and enjoy diverse activities benefit the most. Best of all, you don’t have to be “out” to participate. Our events are a friendly mixture of mellow socials, thought-provoking activities, and adventurous celebrations.

Our team provides unique event planning services specifically meeting the event planning needs of the LGBTQ community. We proudly create and orchestrate the most over-the-top productions imaginable and much more. Likewise, our vendors and affiliates are made up of persons from many different backgrounds making us reflective of the diverse society we live. We do not discriminate against non-LGBTQ persons. Our goal is to provide you with the highest level of personalized service and to make sure that your Mixit Tallahassee event experience exceeds your expectations.

Note: Other services outside our standard offerings are available on an a la carte basis. 2) Mixit Tallahassee reserves the right to decline to service any potential client for any reason and at their sole discretion and may decline to enter into any contractual agreement with said potential client. 3) If at any time, contracted or not, Mixit Tallahassee, its representatives, team leader(s) or affiliates, reasonably deems an event to be illegal, dangerous, or objectionable, it can, without refund, notification, or compensation to the client should Mixit Tallahassee exercise this right, to immediately remove itself from further service in or the completion of this type of event. 4) Objectionable shall be defined at Mixit Tallahassee's sole discretion, as an event, circumstance, client request, or demand that places Mixit Tallahassee, its representatives, affiliates, or management in an undesired position regarding activities, unexpected increased liability, codes of conduct, adherence to all applicable laws of the state or country in which the event takes place or any other unplanned or not previously agreed upon aspect of said event.5) Mixit Tallahassee assumes no responsibility for any unfulfilled services contracted, nor any responsibility for any losses of the client nor any expenses incurred by the client as a result of such a withdrawal.
